Sat 11/18 - Phantom Vanity at Bayside Bowl

Phantom Vanity & Andrew Bailie at Bayside Bowl

Saturday, November 18th @ 8pm

Bayside Bowl
58 Alder Street
Portland, ME 04101

Phantom Vanity hails from New York City. The band is led by soul diva E$ (aka Erin Boyd). Their music is rife with souring vocals and spot on harmonies a la Erykah Badu, and held down by a hip-hop funk and jazz rhythm section, whose members have toured and recorded with such acts as the Nth Power, Big Daddy Kane and Slick Rick. The band's first show at the bayside bowl was nothing short of jaw dropping. This is showmanship and musicianship of the highest order! Phantom Vanity's music has been featured on XM/Sirius Radio, Live For Live Music, and Soul Tracks. Check out the video for the new single "Perish" off their most recent release, Vintage Slacker, on youtube. This is modern R&B and pure dance floor bliss!

Andrew Bailie is an American songwriter, singer and guitarist interweaving intricate songs with raw emotion, powerful guitar work and an unmistakable soaring voice. Drawing from elements of funk, soul, rock and electronic traditions, Bailie speckles his songwriting with his own experiences hopes fears and trepidations, touching on familiar human themes that can sometimes give us pause and fill us with longing and other times set us ablaze. After extensive touring across much of the US and Europe with legendary gospel and funk organist Cory Henry (Snarky Puppy/Funk Apostles), Andrew relocated from Brooklyn, NY to the deep woods of northwestern Maine where he is now based. He also has roots in Ohio and Nebraska where he made a name for himself in his early career. Andrew has also worked with platinum recording artist Aloe Blacc, members of Snarky Puppy, Ms. Lauryn Hill, and has shared the stage with Res, Talib Kweli and Lalah Hathaway. Look for the debut full length release “Wasteland” available everywhere soon.
