Sat 9/3 - Tondrae at Westbank Heritage Festival NOLA

The Westbank Heritage Festival will be held on Segnette Field at the Alario Center on Saturday, September 3rd and Sunday, September 4th from 12:00pm - 10:00pm in New Orleans, LA. Come enjoy music from an exciting line up filled with your favorite national and local entertainers and Westbank gospel choirs.

Tondrae Kemp performs with his band on Saturday, September 3rd at 3:55pm (CT).

Tondrae Kemp is eclectic soul, a radiant fusion of hip-hop, blues, rock, and reggae, anchored in what he calls "The Soul Starter Kit" of Wonder, Gaye, Mayfield, Withers, and Hathaway.

You may have heard of Tondrae from his recent high-profile Red Bull Sound Select NY performance, the New Orleans festival scene (Essence, JazzFest), or features on media outlets such as Giantstep, Soulbounce, and Singersroom, amongst others. Tondrae has had the great honor of sharing the bill with such amazing acts as Joan Osborne, Thundercat, Robert Glasper, Bilal, Ledisi, Kem... to name a few.

Kemp is currently performing his full-length original LP, Sun Money. His single, "Say If You Want Me To Leave," was voted by About.com the 17th Best R&B Song of the year. For Elmore Magazine, the standout track is "The Hotter the Fire," which "blends electronic beats, jazzy chord changes, intense lead guitar and a great vocal." Louisiana Cultural Vistas Magazine is impressed by "Happiness," which captures the "raw spirit of old blues" within a "modern sensibility." Overall, as Soultracks.com writes, Kemp is "soulful, with a dash of folk, a little bit reggae, and a slight peppering of everything else in between."
