soul, blues, reggae, dub, hip-hop - the list of genres, which makes use of the singer Tondrae Kemp is great. But on his new album Sun Money sounds this mixture as if it had always been like that belongs together.
It is difficult to stick to the music of Tondrae Kemp in drawers: In the major download portals, it is under "Soul / R & B" to find - no wonder with his voice, which manages to Sun Money without great effects and a while with his expression goes to the bone.
But just as there are influences from blues, dub, reggae and the beats a good amount of hip-hop. This combination is especially good at "The Hotter The Fire", one of the strongest songs on the album.
Although the eclectic recipe not one hundred percent on all songs rises - Tondrae Kemp pulls through his own thing, and that makes him in today's music scene nearly a rare event. The charts he will not rush with Sun Money, but his dedicated fan community continues to grow - and we also count.
